Operating a dairy business

A licence issued by Dairy Food Safety Victoria (DFSV) is your authorisation to operate and trade in the Victorian dairy industry and is a requirement by law under the Dairy Act 2000.

As a DFSV-licensed dairy business operator you are responsible for ensuring the food you produce is safe.

All dairy food business operators need to be aware of their obligations, in particular legislation regarding food hygiene and food safety.
